Hello, we are using the WooCommerce Square Sync Plugin.

We have the catalog, categories, and product variations syncing well.

One issue we are having is the Product Variations in Square (single, simple variations — with individual SKUs —?such as color or flavor) show up in the Woo catalog but the images do not. For instance, if we are selling a widget in 5 colors, all 5 widget SKUs sync and are in the catalog, display in the drop down menu for the user on the front end. However, all of the variation images are not coming over from Square to Woo. The primary image does sync but the variations’ images are not in the media library.

  • Hello,

As a first step, please make sure each variation have price and SKU, this is necessary for all products to be imported properly.

If that does not work, please go to the Square settings in your WP-Admin, and make sure Log debug messages to the?WooCommerce status log is ticked and save the settings.

Then you can run a sync again, then you can head to WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (Select Square if available in the drop-down). That will show the error logs to further investigate this scenario for you.

Let us know so we can check.

Thank you. The products have SKUs and prices. I have followed the instructions above changing the Log . Now when I attempt a Sync, it is not completing the Sync. I will let it go a few more hours, but Sync updates were taking an hour or so or less now it has been “updating” for hours.

    Hello @zkozdron,

I just want to make sure I understand this correctly, the variation images for variable products are not being imported to WooCommerce during the syncing process, correct?

I’m afraid this is the default behaviour of the extension and not a bug/problem.

However, I believe this could be a fantastic enhancement request. I recommend submitting it here: https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/square/#

Furthermore, instead of manually updating each variation image, you can update them in bulk using the built-in CSV importer. Please refer to this guide for more details.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. :?)

    Hi,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Best.
