A default theme is any of the twenty* themes that ship with WP. Twenty Twenty-three is the latest. If your other themes are the “classic” PHP template based themes and not the newer Blocks themes, you might prefer Twenty Twenty-one as the default, the last classic default theme. Another good reason to keep a default theme is it can be useful in troubleshooting mysterious problems since by definition it would not create any sort of conflict with other plugins.

I’m unfamiliar with WP Swings Tracker. Depending on what sort of events this should be tracking, this may or may not be important. For any trouble with a particular plugin, I recommend contacting its developers for further assistance. They are in the best position to help with their own plugin.
