    Hello Translate Press,
    i just used seranking.com to check my website and i got this message :

    Multiple language codes for one page
    Issue description The hreflang attributes specify multiple language codes for a single URL.For example, hreflang=”en” and hreflang=”de” point to the same URL.This can confuse search engines, because it is unclear in which of the indicated languages the information on the page is presented and which version of the page should be shown to website visitors.

    How to fix
    Check the pages indicated in the report, remove the unnecessary hreflang attribute or replace the language code with the correct one.No more than one language code can be specified for a single URL, but several regions can be specified for the selected language version, for example, en-us, en-gb, and so on.

    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en-GB" />

    i guess the fact there is 2 hreflang “en” and “en-GB” for instance is the problem?

    Hello Selena,

    As you can see, the hreflang is en/en-GB.

    Most likely this is a false positive due to the fact that the SEO tool identifies as an issue to have regional and independed hreflang together.
    We saw this with Ahref too and other SEO tools.

    It is correct to have two attribute.
    But if you want to disable one of those you can do that from the Advanced Tab of TranslatePress.

    We have implemented this according to Google guidelines.

    For the second one:
    “I got this trouble : Invalid HTML lang”- we are aware of this issue and we will fix it in the future.

    Best Regards,

    Anca
