.gz extension not regocnized as valid Archive name?

    Hello, I have created a package with Duplicator and copied it through FTP to another server. When I fill in the name of the created package, which has a .gz extension, I get the Invalid Archive Name!-error. But it is the name Duplicator created itself. What can be wrong?
