Posting image to home page does not work

  • Hello Friends,

    I am brand new to WordPress.

    I can make add content and images to my pages — and all is well — but not to my home page.

    In my post, I place an image, but it does not show up on the home page:

    What’s up? Can you assign a certain post … or one of the pages … to appear on the blog’s home page?
