Polylang update first from a previous version

  • I recently updated a site and with it its plugins but with Polylang I get an error message saying that the plugin cannot be activated to the latest version as I am starting from a too obsolete one. First need to update to Polylang 2. something. I deleted the Plugin both via WordPress and FTP but as I reinstall it I get the same error.
    Via Polylang official website I do not find previous versions, I guess unless by buying a license. Same with the support page.
