2.04 doesn’t convert first letter into Japanese
-
Hi,
I am using ver2.0x in one of my site and much nicer than ver1.4x.
But I found a bug. When I edit any Japanese text using Roman character using Mozc in uBuntu PC, the first letter is not converted into Japanese. For instance, when I enter “ohayou”, it should be converted into “おはよう” but instead it ends up “oはよう”. “おはよう” means “good morning”. When I delete the first letter and retype it again, it converts it correctly. This problem happens only the first time when I try to edit anything in empty cell. If there is any character such as space in the cell before any character I start entering, it converts correctly.
Examples are like below
- oはよう ohayou (it is supposed to mean “good morning”)
- sアンキュウ sankyu (it is supposed to mean “thank you”)
- kおうもく koumoku (it is supposed to mean “items”)
- bいこう bikou (it is supposed to mean “remarks”)
I understand that Japanese character conversion on uBuntu may not be the high priority but I would like to report this bug hoping that this will be fixed in the near update.
By the way, I tried to upload images but uploading was blocked for some reasons.
