The latest version of the plugin (4.2.2) does not correctly import the header image for each post.
I have been using the same RSS feed for months, and the feed is still valid having checked with SimplePie.
Once updated to 4.2.2, Feedzy no longer imports the image from each post.
Rolling back to 4.2.1, images are imported correctly.
This is using WordPress 6.2 – so perhaps there is an issue with Feedzy 4.2.2 and the latest WordPress version.

Please advise if this bug will be correctly in the next update.

  • I have the same issue.

    Hi @simonjonharding, @pentaliotis,

    Thanks for choosing Feedzy!

We are already aware of this issue and our developers are currently working on a fix for it. Hopefully, it will be solved in the next update of the plugin. In the meantime, you could rollback to a previous version where this issue doesn’t occur.

    Thank you!

New version 4.2.3 claims to have fixed this bug – but it has not.
I have had to roll back to 4.2.1 again and have had to delete a lot of posts again that had not imported images.

    Any update on this issue?

4.2.3 is still not working for me either. I rolled back to 4.2.1 but not all images were imported.

    Hi guys,

We’re still looking into this as we got a few more similar reports where the fix we released hasn’t addressed the issue.

The featured image should be assigned to all posts that are imported normally, it’s only not assigned to items that are imported as duplicates, is that correct?

    Apologies for this inconvenience.

After I installed the version with the fix, featured images were not being imported on new posts – not just duplicates.

    Hi @simonjonharding!

Could you please provide us the feed URL so we can test in on our end?

    Thanks!

    Hi @simonjonharding,

The issue you reported should be fixed with the latest version of the plugin, 4.2.4.

    Regards,

Can anyone using the plugin confirm that they have updated and not had the same problem – just before I attempt to update my own site.

I can confirm something related to this bug still exists in 4.2.4. We are using [#item_custom_enclosure] where the enclosure is a full sized image, but feedzy imports a thumbnail as featured image instead of the full size version. Reverting to 4.2.1 fixes it.

We also have the same issue. We’ve had to roll back to 4.2.1 to ‘fix’ the issue. I’m very disappointed with support since we’ve been pressing for the best part of a week for a solution, and this known issues hasn’t been mentioned (in fact there is no offer of a solution at all from support). Thanks for highlighting the issue on this thread. We paid for Pro developer license so it’s disappointing that we didn’t get anything other than a ‘read our documentation’ email!

    Hi @omcaninc,

I’m sorry to hear the issue still persists. If you are using Feedzy Pro please contact us on our website. Custom tags parsing such as [#item_custom_enclosure] is not supported in the free version of the plugin and it might confuse other users.

    Thank you for understanding.
