    Can you let us know the full error message or show it in screenshot?

    If it is an urgent case, you can also use a file manger to download the backup from wp-content/wpvividbackups folder of the site.

    Hello, I’m getting a black page with text time the site is temporary not available… So after loading it went to that. It’s happening for sites that has 200mb and up ??

    Also, when the backup file is above 300mb it will download but not completely like stopping at around 150mb??? The file is broken. PLEASE FIX PLUGIN. Website backup file is important and this should not be happening huhu

    We can’t replicate your issue on our site, we downloaded a backup file with the size of 441MB successfully. The backup zip files are working properly. See the screenshot.

    We don’t have access to file manager so we highly depend on built in downloaded. I need to revert back to old version of WPvivid to download the files. Also, it’s so random that the zip are broken.

    I’m not sure I understood you correctly. Do you mean that you don’t have a permission to install a file manager plugin to your site? You can install a file manager plugin to download your backup files.

    Alternatively, you can access your webserver via an FTP client to download your backup files as well.

    During testing, everything works fine on our sites. So, we suspect that the issue is not a WPvivid issue. It is more like a webhost issue as it limits the download size on your site.

    It is recommended to set up the following WPvivid settings to create small size of backup files next time.

    1. Compress files every: 100 MB
    2. The number of files compressed to the backup zip each time: 200
    3. Split a sql file every this size: 100 MB

    In our experience, the error appears usually because the server’s memory limit is reached. So, what is your server’s PHP memory limit? If it is 128MB or so, it is recommended to increase it to at least 256 MB even 512 MB.

    Do you mean you are able to download the same backup files using an old version of our plugin?

    If so, which version it is?

    Also, it’s so random that the zip are broken.

    A backup zip can be broken when the disk space of the hosting account is not sufficient. So, check and make sure your available disk space is at least TWICE the website size.

    Also, if it is a shared web hosting plan, the disk space you see is usually not exclusive to you.

    Yes! on version 0.9.81 everything is working ok and I can download all the files locally without any issue.

    Maybe you can put back the previous zip system where we can download not more that 400mb files.

    You can still switch to the Pclzip compression method in the plugin Settings > Advanced. See the screenshot. Let us know if that solves the issue.

    That’s good, but still make sure to check the available disk space of the hosting account as I suggested earlier.

    Also, if what you mean is that the backup zip is corrupted after you download it to your computer, then it can also be because of a network issue. You can verify that by comparing the file sizes and see if the size of the downloaded file is the same as the file size showing in the backup list. If they are different, you can download the file again.
