I never get search results related to the post

  • Hello, I have the plugin installed on the front page of the blog, and whenever I type in the search term or an entire sentence and, in some cases, a full title of the blog post I want to access, it doesn’t give me that desired post as a result. Is there a way to alleviate that? Is the plugin a functional one or a gimmick? When I search WP from the dashboard, the results come up accurately, with no problem. It is the search bar that gives inaccurate and misleading results.

    Hi,

    I can assure you, that the plugin is real, it is in development for over 10 years now.

    The most likely cause of incoherent results is ususally the configuration. I checked the URL provided, but I can’t see the plugin search bar anywhere on any page at the moment.

    Can you please add the plugin shortcode somewhere so I can test it?
    Can you also go to the Help & Support menu and please follow the instructions for sharing additional debug data? That may also help us greatly.

    Hi Ernest, thank you so much for the reply. I checked for shortcodes and they are there where they are supposed to be. So, I don’t know what else do I need to do. The search bar is on the main page, the home page. Is that not the Ajax search bar?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately no – the search on the main page seems to be the default theme search widget.

    The plugin search bar looks very different from that by default. If your theme has a page editor or customizer of some sort, then it should allow you to place the plugin shortcode to the desired location.

    After placing the shortcode, try searching again. If still no luck, then let me know the debug information, and I will take a look at the output.
