cannot show specific categories/subcategories on product page

    I have a website and there are several product categories and subcategories. So, for example, one page is the Antiques page. I cannot just show the subcategories on the Antiques page as it will now allow me (it will show all the other product categories). The Show Products Categories list -whether via Dropdown or list- show all the products that I have; I just want to show the specific subcategories list of products particular to that specific page. Not sure how to do this; help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply. I have a website with several pages and several product categories. It is a site for selling books. For example, I have a pets page for pets book and a sports page for sports books. I have 1000s of books for each category. I am trying to put ONLY sports products and the sports subcategories on the sports page. However, it tries to put ALL of my book subcategories/categories on the page instead of ONLY the sports subcategories and products. I ONLY want to put sports subcategories on the sports page, but instead it puts the pets and the sports subcategories on the sports page. How can I limit only to putting sports subcategories on the sports page? When I go to Product Categories List for the specific page it will have a dropdown menu or a list of the categories and subcategories but for ALL of my product categories; I just want it specifically for the sports subcategories when on my sports page.
