    Hi there.

When I try to upload an image organization logo in First Time Configuration yoast Seo, I have the error saying An error has occurred: There has been a critical error on your website.”

    What could be the problem?

    Thank you.

  • I’m sorry you had a critical error when uploading the logo via Yoast SEO configuration settings. Let’s see what’s going on and troubleshoot the issue together.

    How to troubleshoot the issue.

    1. Info about the error.
When such errors occur, WordPress usually sends the website administrator an email with the details of the error. Could you check your email and see if you received an email with the details of the error? It would be helpful if you could provide us with more information about the error.
    2. Ensure all is updated.
On the other hand, problems like this can occur if you are not using updated software, so as a first step to fixing the problem, we ask you to check that all your plugins and theme are updated to the latest version.
    3. Conflict check.
If all plugins and theme are updated, then it could be an issue related to a conflict with another theme or plugins and you can perform a conflict check.
Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re not familiar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide to walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

Please inform us of the results so we can help you determine the problem.
