Hello, I’ve upgraded the BLC to 2.0 with connection to WPMU Dev servers, however, when I run it, it shows errors that there is too many server errors. How can I throttle it so that the servers don’t throw errors? Also, if it is cloud-based, why is it throwing an server error in the first place?

    Hi @lh1999

    Hope you are doing fine!

I reviewed the site using the DNS checker tool: https://dnschecker.org/#A

Several IP’s are getting reported and in some locations those IP’s are quite different. This seems to be causing the server errors, could you verify if there was a recent change of DNS records or settings for your domain? In case there wasn’t, it’d be recommended to contact the domain registrar and share this information, so they can provide a further check on this.

    About

So the whole thing ran after few tries, but it says 0 broken links now. Not sure what is wrong

It means the correct IP is found after several tries and BLC was able to find the host. If no links are reported, a security restriction may be causing this issue. The plugin requires a new API host IP and User Agent to be whitelisted (which should be done in both sites). The IP is the following:

    165.227.127.103

You can also remove any restriction to the User Agent:

WPMU DEV Broken Link Checker Spider

Please check if whitelisting/allowing the IP and user agent helps to complete the links scanning and report them properly. This should be done in firewall setting either in a plugin in the site or at the server level.

More information can be found in our documentation here:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/broken-link-checker/#troubleshooting-notes

    Hope this information helps

    kind regards

    Luis
