I installed W3 Total Cache. Clicked the ‘Activate’ link on my plugin page, and the screen goes blank, and nothing happens. I now can’t access my admin page. All I get is a blank screen. Viewing the source for the page reveals nothing. The page is completely empty.

The blog itself still works okay. Is it okay to get rid of the plugin by deleting the plugin folder? Other than that, what other files — if any — should I be deleting as well? I did notice a few extra ones had croppped up outside the plugin folder when looking at the site via FTP.

If there’s a list of files that need deleting, it would be handy to know, so I don’t delete the wrong thing.

    Thanks.

Never mind. A quick check through the forum, and I discovered other people had had the same problem. Removed plugin folder, other files, and amended the .htaccess file. Everything is working again.

No offence, but I think I’ll try a different plugin. That scared me too much. ??

Hopefully you will give it another shot in the future.
