    Hi,

I juste update WooCommerce plugin as usuall. My WordPress told me that the new version was 100% compatible with my WordPress version.

    I now have WooCommerce 7.5.0

But now I have the message in my wp-admin inteface :
You have installed a development version of WooCommerce which requires files to be built and minified. From the plugin directory, run?pnpm install?and then?pnpm run build --filter=woocommerce?to build and minify assets. Or you can download a pre-built version of the plugin from the?www.remarpro.com repository?or by visiting?the releases page in the GitHub repository.

First, I don’t understand why it’s said that I installed a development version of WooCommerce ???

Also, my shop apparence is not like before. Everything is too big and it’s not as beautiful as before the update.

    Can someone help me ?

    Thanks !

    André

  • Hi André,

I juste update WooCommerce plugin as usual

What is your usual process for updating? I’m hoping this information can give me a clue as to whats happened. Cheers

    Hi @dedejacoby

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you received the message above after updating the WooCommerce plugin to version 7.5.0, correct?

As requested above, can you please share with us the step-by-step procedure you did when you updated the plugin so that we could check if there are any pain points along the way?

If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Thanks!

I finally fix the problem myself yesterday. Sorry, for the delay but I missed time to reply here. Thanks all for trying to help me.

For your information on how I update my plugins : I update all my plugins from my WordPress dashboard (It’s not an automatic update). I always take a backup of my website before and I verify that the plugins is 100% compatible with my WordPress version before. After that, I manually select the plugins I want to update and then I click on the button Update plugins in the WordPress Updates dashboard. Most of the time it works fine but last time it goes wrong.

To fix my problem, I download the Woocommerce 7.5.0 plugin directly from the official website and I replace it manually in my ftp in the folder /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce

Everything is working fine now and the error message disappear.

    Thanks again !

    Hi @dedejacoby

Glad to know you were able to sorted it out, if you have any new questions, please create a new ticket.

    Cheers!

My WordPress just did an automatic update of the woocommerce plugin to v7.8.1 and I received a critical error email about the WooCommerce plugin, when I view my website it shows this error at the top:

“You have installed a development version of WooCommerce which requires files to be built and minified.”

I have no idea what this even means and how it happened but I am now attempting to recover.

I downloaded the latest version from www.remarpro.com and that seems to have fixed it.
