“Add to cart” button not working on shop page if no variation is selected

Hello,
On shop page if user clicks “Add to cart” without selecting product attribute, nothing happens and the button gets stuck in loading mode. There should be an message error “Please select attribute first” or something like this, or to redirect user to product page.
