technical question about featured images format in wordpress?
-
Hello,
I have read this article about using responsive images in WordPress: the url is : https://enginescout.com.au/wordpress-image-sizes/
I use at this moment for background 1920-1080px images.
and I use for each content for each page 900-500px imag.
I have only uploaded this 2 formats.
before I ask my question I read this :
Whenever you upload an image, WordPress automatically creates 4 different image sizes:
Thumbnail size (150 x 150 pixels)
Medium size (maximum 300 x 300 pixels)
Large size (maximum 1024 x 1024 pixels)
Full size (the original size of the uploaded image)
my question is now :
shall I leave this 2 formats of my images as it is . (I mean 1920-1080 and 900-500px) or shall I change this featured image format from 900-500px to 1200-900 for landscape and 900-1200 for portrait?
I want to be sure as beginner what to do in this subject.
I know I am going to use compression and webp format to make it responsive plus cdn .
thanks
