how to use multisite and domain mapping?

  • Hi there,

    i’m trying to evaluate 3.0.1 with multisite and the domain mapping tool.

    But can’t get over the initial confusion.

    I have a 3.0.1 with one site on it. Now i would like to add another domain (the first of many). So i go to superadmin/domains and add it giving it site id 2 (Why is not a site id suggested?), but this new domain does not show up anywhere except under superadmin/domains…

    Is there something i have missunderstood? Or is it so that i have misunderstood what the domain mapping does?

    My ambition is to serve the following sites from the same 3.0.1 installation:

    https://www.site1.example1.com
    https://www.site2.example1.com
    https://www.site1.example2.com
    https://www.site2.example2.com

    Is this not doable?

    Any input on what i am missing or have miss understood?
