How To Set Unique Domains To Your Multisite Subdomains or Subdirectories

1. You need https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/domain-mapping

2. If you mean something like GA – then https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/google-analytics-for-wordpress-mu-sitewide-and-single-blog-solution is what you need.

3. Not sure what you mean here ??

So basically, if we use the concept of Domain Mapping then

site2.mainsite.com –>Goal:Change to Unique–> https://SITE2.COM
Then a person who comes to the site will see “site2.com” in their address bar?

But what about registrations? Will the default to the subdomain/subdirectory or is it possible to register people through the “Mapped Domain” ?

But will they see that same thing in the bottom address bar as well (ie: the left hand bottom of the screen that shows the URLs)?

If you mean creating blogs like xxxxx.site2.com where site2.com is the mapped domain name – I’m afaid, no.

Actually, what i meant was if you have:

mainsite.com =As the main site
site2.mainsite.com == As the subdomain
uniquesite2.com = As the unique domain mapped to site2.mainsite.com

Whereas, if you were to set up a membership site, or for people to register to use “uniquesite2.com”, then would the users end up having to go to a page to either 1.) Register or 2.) Lgoin at subdomain level (ie: site2.mainsite.com)

will these tools you mentioned allow users to register & login at the unique domain (ie: uniquesite2.com)

Neither domain mapping plugin messes with the registration. by default, users woudl register at the main site – the original one.

Ugylrobot *had* a plugin available for per-blog registration, but it’s been removed.

If it’s in the repo, feel free to point it out to me.

Hello Everyone:

I set up a multi-site in a sub-domain config, but getting visitor stats from them through our CPanel and Google analytics was not working (and yes I tried every configuration that was suggested for this), so I have set up the sub-domains individually and now the stats are reporting.

What I want to do use the domain mapping plugin to connect them to the main blog for administration. Is this possible?
