Feature plans to use YouTube videos?

    Hi there

    Thanks for reaching out! While there were originally some ideas on how to possibly support YouTube or Vimeo, right now the Web Stories format does not appear to have any immediate plans to do so. I assume it’s quite difficult to do that in a good way that preserves the immersive experience of a story (you don’t really want the video player controls to show up). So yeah, as long as the Web Stories format itself does not add support, we don’t have any plans to support it in the plugin.

    The existing third-party media integration in our editor is different, because it only supports videos from Coverr.co, which don’t have their own player UI like YouTube.
