Had a strange error which I read can happen in the troubleshooting page. The page suddenly started to download a gz file. However it did not say what to do. I turned things on and off and suddenly it worked again.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @evohealthse,

We’re glad to hear that turning things on and off worked and resolved the issue. The behaviour you described, where a gz file is downloaded instead of the page, is usually caused by the WP Super Cache serving cached pages as a compressed file instead of an HTML file. It’s a rare occurrence, but it can happen when there is a conflict with other plugins or some

In case you experience this issue again, you can try clearing the cache or disabling WP Super Cache temporarily. Also, if it happens again, it might be worth checking with the hosting, too, to investigate if there are any issues with the server-side compression mechanism.

However, if the problem persists, please let us know and we’ll be happy to investigate further.

We are having the same problem since two weeks ago. Our site suddenly started to download the gz file but only when access to Home Page. Weird thing is that my site works in 1 of 5 computers we tried. It also works fine in mobile. We deactivated WP Super Cache and the problem persist. Our server provided said it is not their problem. Any suggestion? The site is https://www.plasticohidrosoluble.com

    Hey again @pampeano19,

I accessed your site and couldn’t replicate the issue. Can you check if the issue persists? Is WP Super Cache currently deactivated?

Could you check if you had Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors checked under WP Super Cache Settings > Advanced > Miscellaneous. If it was checked, try to uncheck it and test if that fixes the issue.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you. We will be standing by for your response.
