Static homepage settled but default page showing

    Hello !

    I hope this topic is on the right place, sorry if not!

    I’ve been searching for days, found many topics but couldn’t really solve my problem. Here it is :
    I use NEVE theme on WordPress and would like to display a static homepage for my website. It is possible to custom it directly from the theme (Appearance>Customize>Home Page>Static Homepage) or from wordpress Settings > Reading > Static Homepage.
    I applied this settings.

    The thing is that the preview mode works perfectly but as long as I visit the website, either inconito mode or not, the homepage goes as “example page” : [ redundant link removed ] (a page that does not even exist in my “Pages”). If I click on the menu > Page d’exemple then the website appears, but the homepage still doesn’t work as exepted.

    – I try deactivate the plugin to see if one was messing with the theme but it didn’t change anything.
    – I try to swich the static page to another one, didn’t work as well.

    If anyone have an idea or already faced this problem : thank you very much for your help !

  • Flush your “IONOS Performance” cache. Afterwards, you should see the homepage as captured below:

    I have the same problem, but pardon me, I couldn’t understand your solution as I’m a newbie. Would you please elaborate.

    PS: First time making wordpress site. Site made on Local by Flywheel then used plugin “All in one WP migration”, exported from local and imported to live. Initially it was ok on pc and laptop but a default theme page on homepage when opened on mobile. after few days even on pc, it shows default theme page. The page does not exist, even delted all default themes.
