When I try and copy and paste from any of the screens for the website I manage the screen shifts to the right and will not allow the copy part of copy and paste. This happens on the screen that I have quoted, but it actually happens on all screens, which suggests that it is either a WordPress issue or a Theme issue.

    Website: https://www.britishpensions.com

    Test website: https://www.dev.britishpensions.com

    WordPress 6.1.1 running?Executive Pro?child theme. Using Genesis 3.4.0.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

  • Hi @theretiree,

I tested on your website and I see what you mean. It looks like a CSS class cbp-spmenu-push-toright is being applied by a plugin/theme on your site to the content while trying to select the words to copy. This piece of CSS is pushing the contents of your screen to the right.

Are you using Slide and Push Menus on your website via plugins or any custom code? If yes, please deactivate/comment that piece of code and try testing on your test site.

If you are still seeing the issue after deactivating the plugin and/or commenting the custom menu code, try switching to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One and test to find out if your theme is causing the issue.

    I hope this helps!

I have this exact problem for 6 months now, and this is the single one post from the entire google-drm-owned internet that could give me some light.

After deactivating / reactivating the plugin WP Responsive Menu mobile version 3.1.8 By MagniGenie , I was able to test and the problem is definitely linked to this plugin.

I wrote to them a support ticket, and I’m waiting to see if they give me some solution.
