Error: The email could not be sent. Your site may not be correctly configured

  • i am unable to login to my wordpress account anymore.

    Tried to login, email verification pop up, but error message say can’t send the verification email

    Then tried lost password, receive this error message:
    Error:?The email could not be sent. Your site may not be correctly configured to send emails.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • You will need to talk to your hosting company. It sounds like someone/thing has disabled sending emails from the website/server. Fro this, only your hosting company is able to help you.

    Could you share how to identify the hosting company? Thank you so much?

    The easy way is to go through your bank accounts and see who you pay for hosting. At least you should know who sends you invoices for that each month/year. Strangely, a lot of people don’t… which I do find hard to understand personally.

    If you don’t have that you can try one of the many sites online that will help you find who is hosting your site.

    As a bit of a clue, the nameservers for your site point to Godaddy, so that’s more than likely who is it.
