I seem to have an issue with autograding. My course lessons have three questions, that have to get all three correct before proceeding to the next one. The behaviour is that they press the view quizz button, answer the questions, correctly, the system shows that is has saved the quiz, but not autograded it. So the student reset quizz and now we are in infinite loop.

So i have to manually complete the lesson for them and manully grade them as well.

Ihave gone into each lesson, looked at the quizz setting within each lesson and they are all enabled for autograding.

My courses are behind a membership plugin so will need to have admin credentials if you want to take a look.

Thanks for getting in touch.

I couldn’t find any currently open issues involving Sensei’s auto-grading feature that seem related to what you report here. I also couldn’t reproduce the issue on my end.

If you are using Sensei Pro, note that you can reach out to us directly, and we can take a closer look.

For now, I’d suggest testing for a plugin conflict. You can do so by using a plugin like Health Check, which allows you to have a clean WordPress session where all plugins are disabled and a default theme is used, but only for your user until you disable it or log out.

thank you for the feed back.
I dont use Sensie Pro, I can see that on my test user account it, the auto grading works. So, do you think this could be a caching issue?
I’ll use the plugin and update you.

Health Check Plugins did not flag up an conflicts or errors.

So I am not sure why my some of my users experince is the autograde not working?

I see, and thanks for sharing those images. Auto Grade is the correct option to enable.

It could be a caching issue. I really can’t say without taking a closer look. But this is beyond the scope of our support, particularly because we can’t reproduce the issue on our end.

One thing that may help with figuring out the cause of the issue is to have any of those users share any errors that show up in their browser console.

Do you know how to check a browser’s console for errors? If not, this page in the WordPress Codex has guidance for how to do so in different web browsers:

And in case it’s a caching issue, you can suggest to the affected users that they try clearing their browser cache and cookies.
