  • I agree – I hate that I can’t edit URLs directly on 2.0 – I am so used to editing it – there’s also no link to get back to editing the post

Same. I have no doubt they will slowly decommission the old one and start pushing number of urls limits to sell their product. Really sad to see this plugin gone.

    Hi @turbomaximus @runningwolf @julianoe

Plugin is not gone and you can still use it. You don’t need to have the WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin and connection to HUB to still use the old engine/old version of the plugin. After the recent update, you can use/switch to the old version which is still a part of the core of Broken Link Checker.

The new part of the core is less bloat because it’s run by an engine we’ve developed and runs on the WPMU DEV side. In the end, it won’t take down your server resources, and we are the ones who pay for the resources used on our side. Taking into account some hostings with low resources and having on site many plugins, taking down 1 cron job from the site is a benefit.

@runningwolf after you switch to old version after update you can still edit URLs.

Thanks for the reply Kris – I actually like the way that 2.0 is laid out, it’s just a pity there’s no direct link to edit the post from there – If you could add the same options on 2.0 that would actually save us a lot of time – I am using the old version on all 3 of my sites until that gets improved.

    Hi @runningwolf

Actually, the post edit feature has been added to the development tasks, it will be considered and may be included in upcoming releases. There it not estimated time of completion but you can be certain it will be included in the roadmap.

We really appreciate your feedback since it will help improve our products. We’d really like you to give BLC 2.0 a chance in the future as new features get added.

    Kind regards

    Luis
