Error establishing a database connection

    Hi all. I have searched previous posts on this but cannot seem to find an answer.

    I went on this morning and changed the password of the SQL database and since then i get the error message when i attemt login to /admin. I have looked on the .htaccess and there is no mention of the My SQL credentials in the file. i have attempted a database repair which hasn’t worked i can access all files and the database through my Cpanel but i am now at a loss of where to go from here.

    Any help would be gratfully appreciated.

    Did you update the password in wp-config.php?

    hi thanks for your reply.

    The wp-config file doesn’t contain any information regarding the database. i had to do it from the cPanel.
