• Dear Anders,

I ran into trouble with my first post (local install). When I add an image via the Add Media button it adds the image fine but it also adds the automatically resized version (400x) above it. Only if I detach the uploaded image from the post the resized version disappears. Perhaps there is a solution for this?

    Hi @annekee,

Do you mean the Featured Image? It’s displayed above the content of the post if you’ve set it as the Featured Image in the right sidebar.

If not, it would help with troubleshooting if you post a link to a page where the problem is visible.

    Hi Anders,

Thank you for your quick reply! No, not the featured image, that one is on top I know. It is a local install so I can’t give a link, but here are screenshots:

Really odd. I don’t use any image or image related plugins.

It also shows a lot of images and coding in the source: https://gcdnb.pbrd.co/images/fY07dF0EmbjM.png

@annekee That is strange. Are you using the default WordPress post editor (aka Block Editor) or the Classic Editor plugin?

Koji isn’t involved in the rendering in the post content, other than calling the Core the_content() function, so it’s likely not theme related.

Forgot to say, yes the classic editor – sorry for being a dinosaur ??

The code for one image in a post, just the img, takes up a plain text document of 12 KB. That can’t be right.

@annekee WordPress includes quite a bit of HTML markup to specify different image sizes for each image, so the browser can load the one best suited to the device and connection speed of the visitor.

Since this topic isn’t directly tied to the theme you’re using, you might get better help if you post in one of the general support forums, where more people will see it.

Well, I’ve used Baskerville not long ago (did I say I love your designs yet?) and that went very well. Thank you for your time.
