  • Hello! According to the European regulation, every blog site etc. must use a plugin that informs the visitor that we use cookies on the website? And if so, could it have something to do with Google’s ranking in case we don’t use the banner that we use cookies on the website? Thanks in advance!

    Yes, there is such a regulation. But no, it is not an obligation for all websites across the board but only for websites that actually use cookies. Even with WordPress you can build cookie-free websites – if you do without some features for the visitors (GoogleMaps, access counter, multilingualism …).

    And no, the installation of a cookie banner has neither positive nor negative effects on the findability of a website via Google.
