    Hello,

I have been trying to solve this problem with HubSpot’s technicians for over a month.
We started using this platform and are trying to add their CTA buttons to our website.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter what link I choose to open, it always redirects me to a particular page on our website. I deactivated all redirection-related plugins and have been pushing HubSpot’s customer service that there must be something wrong from Hubspot’s side. Eventually, I got some information pointing out that this redirection comes from WordPress (it somehow triggers permanent redirection).

Could you please help us with that?. Please find the communication with the print screens here -> https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rw6cmgcg4kqmoos/AABIEYSfytMJkrwO0kjibwQHa?dl=0

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hi @przemoob

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble getting up and running with HubSpot CTAs. Unfortunately this support forum is generally used for topics relating to the WordPress plugin that HubSpot provides. CTAs are not a feature that is provided inside the plugin so I cannot imagine how this redirection could be in any way related to having the HubSpot plugin installed on your website.

I do have a couple of questions about the issue you are experiencing:

    • Could you send me the CTA link that is doing the incorrect redirection currently?
    • Is that a HubSpot support rep you are talking to in the screenshots attached? I went looking for the support thread and was unable to find it.
    • Could you send me the name of the CTA you have created in your HubSpot portal? I would like to debug it from my side to reproduce the error.
    • If this CTA is currently live on your website, could you send me a link to the page with the effected button at this email address [email protected]?

    Best,

    Conor

    Hi @przemoob

Following up here to close the loop after our email exchange. The outcome of our investigation found that this issue arose because the reverse proxy on the WordPress instance was?not configured to pass the requests to the /cs/c path through to HubSpot.

In this case it was not possible to modify the reverse proxy configuration. This being the case it would not be possible to use HubSpot CTAs for CTA view and CTA click analytics. For Marketing Hub enterprise users, one possible work around is to use javascript to record these events using HubSpot custom behavioural events, if this is not a viable option however, finding a way to modify the reverse proxy or an alternative analytics solution may need to be considered for this kind of tracking.

    Best,

    Conor
