• I have a recurring event that happens on the “last” Thursday of each month. It is not showing up in the calendar in future months.

However, if I change this to “4th” Thursday or “5th” Thursday it appears as expected.

How might I get the calendar to display this event that will always be on the final Thursday, whether the month has 4 Thursdays or 5?

  • Same here. The first occurrence shows up, but no subsequent occurrences.

Robert, I ended up applying a workaround since I don’t know if this issue will be fixed.

What I did was create an event that occurs on the 5th Thursday. Then I created second event for the 4th Thursday, with exclusions for the months in which there are 5 Thursdays. A bit of extra work, but I do have the proper dates showing on the calendar. I’ll have to remember to add exclusions for future years, but I’m hoping this does get resolved before that becomes an issue.

That’s a good workaround. Right now we’re only dealing with one event, so our workaround is to use the Custom recurrence pattern and select some future dates by hand. I’ve submitted a report directly to Time.ly too.

According to Time.ly support, this bug will not be fixed for sites where the original install was prior to version 3.0.0.

“Whoever wants to stay in the old platform can stay, however, we no longer support the older version (nor do we fix issues) since we are focusing our efforts on the new platform.”

Robert, thank you for the update. I was afraid of this. But I guess we’ll just stick with the workaround I’ve employed, for the remaining life of this website. If this is the only issue I have with a plugin I first installed 9 years ago I’m not complaining!
