Paragraphs not working

I’m using the Nishita theme by Brajashwar, although I’ve been editing it some. The paragraph/line breaks are not working, can’t get any space between my paragraphs. I’ve tried adding <p> </p> tags, I’ve added <p style=”padding-bottom:12px;”> in the post’s html. I’ve also tried <b> </b>. Can anyone help me? I’m sure it’s something to do with the CSS that’s over my head.
