Hi, I’ve got GA4 set up and I know it’s working properly, as it shows the correct data in Google Analytics itself. You can see on Wed, the 15th, it should show 55, and over 100 on the 16th:

The dashboard however is showing my old Universal Analytics graph, as you can see on the 15th, it only has 3 users:

When clicking the Source link on the right, it also goes right to my Universal Analytics account:

Here’s how I’ve got Site Kit set up. It’s using Tag Manager to place the actual code on my site:

And I tried connecting just my new GA4 account, and it seems to require the old Universal Analytics account for some reason?

Anyway, sorry for all the images… I just wanted to make sure I explained what was happening in a thorough way. Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Matt

Hi?@mrittman thanks for opening a support topic with us. At present, Site Kit only supports the display of UA(Universal Analytics) data and not yet GA4 within it’s dashboards. You can find out more information on this in our?Using Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?guide.

Here you will also find our GitHub issue for further GA4 work so please feel free to follow this for future updates on GA4 within Site Kit.

You can quickly jump to your Analytics account from the Site Kit dashboard by clicking on the Source: Analytics quick link which will take you to your account where you will be able to view your GA4 data as you have mentioned you can.

This is why the data in your Site Kit dashboard is only showing the UA data currently. You can add a UA code to the site and link this to your GA4. You can do this with the GA4 setup assistant.

We are making good progress on the GA4 reporting with the sunsetting of UA Analytics properties coming up so please keep an eye on this as we look to roll this out as soon as we can.

Hope this helps to answer your question but let me know if I can help with anything else.

Thanks @adamdunnage, I am just seeing this now that Site Kit doesn’t support displaying GA4 analytics quite yet. However, you mention that clicking the Source: Analytics link should take you to your GA4 dashboard on Google Analytics, but it still links to the old Universal Analytics.

@mrittman No problem at all. The link may not take you to your GA4 property but from the account you can switch to your GA4 property to check stats. Hope this helps!
