I thought it was good.. until it blocked to me.. I thought ok.. there is a way to unblock.. I unblocked yesterday using the “unblock.txt” method through https://ftp.. but today It blocked me again.. so I tried to do the same thing but this time it didn’t work.. I had to change the name of the plugin folder to deactivate it.. so gain access to my site again.. I’m frustrated because I’m the admin of my site.. it should detect my behavior and my activity since I’m logged as admin.. based on my user Role.. and based on the fact that I could get access through the admin dashboard.. maybe you should create a a second password once logged to detect admin and bypass detection activity.. So.. this is my review.. of 3 stars.. I’ll not leave a real review to not affect your hard work.. but you should improve this tool.. now I’m going to search a new security plugin..

I chose your plugin between wordfence and allinone security plugin..

    Good luck!

    Hi,

Thanks for writing this. With all security services, they need optimised for your particular scenario and usage. There’s no way for us to release a general purpose plugin that won’t ever trigger false positives for absolutely everyone.

One of Shield’s most crucial features is the Activity Log – when your IP is blocked, it’ll document the full reasons behind this decision. So if you go into there and see the steps that led to it, you can then simply tweak the Shield settings to ensure it never happens again.

We’re happy to help when this happens – you could get a screenshot of the activity log for your IP and we can point you to where you’d need to tweak the plugin. It’s often very simple. If you’d like to do that, please respond here and we’ll work with you through it.

    Thanks,
    Paul.

Also, even more critically… if forceoff isn’t working, and you’re getting block pages, it’s quite likely that your IP isn’t blocked and instead you’re feeling the effects of Page Caching. Page Caching isn’t a great thing. Always, always disable page caching when you’re seeing strange behaviour, like forceoff not working. For a bit more background on that:
