    Hello,

Please can you assist with the following:

When this form is completed on a mobile phone, it often gives a “Something went wrong” error message – even when the form is perfectly completed. If the user refreshes the page and starts again, the form submission is successful.

What do we need to do so that the form works the first time the user opens the page link?

Thank you for your time and assistance,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @danielodes

    I hope you’re well today!

The plugin was designed to work on mobile devices so if there are issues, there must be some unexpected factor involved.

Are you using any kind of cache for the site? If yes, please clear it and try temporarily (just for the test) disabling it to see if that helps.

Also please test if it makes the difference if you change following options (test them “one at the time” and “in combinations”) to opposite than they are set currently:

    – Submission Behavior “Method”: Ajax vs Page Reload
    – Rendering: Load form using AJAX enabled vs not enabled
    – Prevent page caching on form pages enabled vs not enabled

All these options are available via “Behavior” settings of the form in question.

If none of that makes any difference: I noticed that a few months ago you’ve been given some custom code to generate unique IDs for forms. Is that code used for the form in question? If yes, try temporarily removing it and see if that changes anything too.

Let us know about results and depending on them we’ll then see what to do next to solve this for good.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam.

    Thank you for your response.

The Ajax was already disabled but, after a lot of trial and error, we think it may have been an error linked to the akismet spam filter (in Security) as after disabling this the problem seems to have stopped.

It could be this in conjunction with the custom code we implemented.

I’ll be in contact again if we notice the error again.

    Kind Regards
