Custom user fields – restrict to new users only?

    I really like the new custom user fields feature! Is there any way to restrict a field so that it is only shown when someone signs up for a new membership, rather than a renewal?

    Hi @edweiss, glad to read you like the new user fields functionality.

    It is not possible without custom code to show fields specific to a level at new member checkout but not show these fields at member renewal. This is because the [pmpro_checkout] page is the same page used for both new membership checkouts and renewals.

    You may achieve this by building your own custom PMPro checkout and renewal pages; to implement this, please reach out to your developer or a local WordPress developer for assistance with this customization.
