Latests Posts block not working when I choose a category

    Hello,

    I am working on setting up a food blog and want to display all the posts from one category on a page. (a page for breakfast recipes, a page for dinner recipes, etc) I am trying to use the Latest Posts block. Everything works fine, but when I click update, I get an error message “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”

    I have tried everything on every blog post about how to fix this issue to no avail. I did notice that the site updates fine when I do not choose a specific category, and leave the category section blank. It is only when I choose a category and try to update it, I get that error message. So I was wondering if this is a problem with the theme? or is there something else I can try to fix this issue? (I have already tried changing/saving permalinks, deleting .htaccess file, checked the urls and mixed content)

    We’ve checked the Latest Posts block, and it works fine with the Foodica theme.

    Most probably, this problem is caused by an outdated plugin or a server restrictions.

    You might want to do basic troubleshooting by deactivating all the plugins installed on your site, and if it solves the issue, you can reactivate the plugins one by one until you find the plugin that causes the issue.

    I deactivated the plugins and it seems to be working not. Thank you Pavel!
