okay , now this is weird , I thought these env variable should always present in PHP

I think the problem is you need to use if ( isset() ) on these. I’ve run into that elsewhere since upgrading to php 8.

yes , isset() can workaround it , but what wonders me is , how is that possible that these environmental variable don’t exist

was it triggered by WP CLI operation ?

It looks like they exist going by phpinfo. I’ve been running into this in other places as well, and isset() seems to be the accepted fix.
