    Dear BackWPup team,

    Since days the plug in is returning an error as seen in the copy/paste below.

    Our initial response was to purchase an additional server space. Now that the plug in has all the space it might need an more, the issue persists.

    What can we do?

    Hello @lini108

    Could you please help us try with Tar instead?

    Also maybe try to remove unused files and split the large backup job to a smaller ones would help ^^

    Hello Cuong, Thank you for your reply, but I do not understand it unfortunately.

    1. What is Tar?

    2. I’m not sure that is an issue, because ours is a small site so it is not a large backup job in any case.

    3. What unused files?

    I’m looking forward to hearing from you as the site hasn’t been backup up in over 14 days by now.

    Dear Team,

    We are still eagerly awaiting any support from you on on this matter. Our daily backup fails even though we’ve purchased additional space on the hosting server. Please kindly let us know how we can fix this issue.

    Hello @lini108

    I would suggest you to do the following first:

    • Try delete unused files first
    • run the job again
    • In case it not works, try change the backup archive to Tar in your job config: https://i.imgur.com/PJ4CgDD.png

    Hello Cuong, Thank you for getting back to me. By ‘usused’ files do you mean previous backups? We have a setting in place by which backups that are older than 7 days are automatically deleted.

    Unused files are files you do not want to keep anymore, so previous backups can be removed too since seems like your hosting is running out of disk space.
