We dont use slow wp cache plugins.

We use high speed server caches in front of our websites, like NGINX.

Does this plugin deal with that well?

Or will the page cache get filled onea spanish page, for example, which will then be incorrectly fed to the next user, via a cache hit, which should actually be english?

Are there 2 copies of every page kept that will work with a server cache?

Or does it use some javascript to dynamically switch languages on the same page by hiding and unhiding elements?

  • Hello,

    Thank you for reaching us!

TranslatePress works just fine with NGINX.
TransalatePress by default does not cache the page at all but, caching plugins do.

Please make sure you use one that takes advantage of the WordPress ecosystem as it will be integrated well with TranslatePress.

    Cheers,

Need to know if it works fine with a server cache ( which NGINX can be used as such ) in front of wordpress. We wont run wp plugin cache’s – they are all incredibly slow and its the wrong solution.

    Looks like this:

Browser —> Server Cache —> NGINX —–> WordPress

How does translate press deal with a spanish version and an english version living at the same URL without the front side cache getting confused?
