We are using the AVADA theme on our website and have noticed that the VIMEO cookies are not being stopped by the free version of the Cookie Yes plugin even when placed into unecessary?

We’ve tried numerous attempts to stop the cookies loading before consent but had no success – please can you assist so we can make the website compliant?

I’ve contacted VIMEO support (we have a paid channel) and they noted the VUID is necessary – however we need to remove the tracking cookies until the user accepts etc.. (Please can you help asap) we set the dnt parameter (as per Vimeo’s support advice) but this also doesn’t appear to work as per Vimeos’ instructions below
    https://help.vimeo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001494447-Using-Player-Parameters

We have also contacted the Avada theme builder ‘Theme Fusion’ and they have responded to say it’s something the Plugin provider ‘Cookie Yes’ need to fix and investigate the problem.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Hi @eis2000uk ,

We learned after inspecting your site that you are on our legacy version. In this version, we do not offer support for Vimeo embed blocking.

We have a revamped version available. If you are interested in trying this version where Vimeo embeds can be blocked, follow the instructions provided in this documentation article. You must connect to the CookieYes web app and perform a cookie scan after installing the plugin to enable auto-blocking of cookies.

We will take a look is this a free version or paid?

    Hi @eis2000uk ,

The plugin is a free version, and you can also connect it to a free account on the CookieYes web app.

Hello, I have the opposite question about Vimeo embeds. Is it possible to load and autoplay Vimeo video embeds before the user consents? The default on the free version is block the video from auto playing.

    Website in question: luccacyclingclub.com

    Thanks for your help
