Posts by Filter Not Working

    I’ve set everything up correctly and the slider should be showing the most recent 5 posts. The thumbnail in the dashboard shows 5/5 and when I check the data, it’s pulling the right posts. When I try to test it or look at it on the site, it just shows the first post and nothing else happens.

    Am I missing something or did I miss a step?

    Hi @luxinterior!

    This issue could be caused by two things:

    1. You might have Block slider type. This slider type was created to display one slide only. Go to your slider’s settings page -> Actions menu -> and press “Change slider type”. Your current slider type will be selected by default, so there you could see if you have Simple or Block type. If you have Block type, change it to Simple. That can display all your slides.
    2. If 1. won’t help, then you might have a plugin or theme created wrong code, which modifies all post queries. You could try out Health check & troubleshooting plugin as you see here, that you should check the result of your slider, while only Smart Slider is being activated with a default WordPress theme.

    If you would still see the problem that way, then please send us an export of your slider, and we will take a look at its configuration!

    Thanks for your reply.

    Your first solution fixed the problem as I had inadvertently set the slider to ‘block’ instead of ‘simple’.
