• Last night I saw there were a new plugin coming out to be updated. I updated the “wp-repond” plugin, then i go to bed. the next day, i woke up the upgrading is still in progress.. then i waited until evening. I thought it should take this long time, so i refresh the page!

    The error comes up

“Error can not establish database connection … blah..blah.. see wordpress forum”

    and I couldn’t access to both Front-End and wp-admin

then I cam to the forum I did every thing they said, to delete the plugin, to upload the plugin backup, and I have this page.

“The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable.
    Please try again later”

I couldn’t find “.maintenance” any where and I don’t know how to deal with this situation. Please help!

  • You will find the “maintenance” file in the “root” directory.

It can be accessed with FTP or through a cpanel if one is available.

that was where I looked.. there were no “maintenance” file. and the even tough the error still occur.

Will it help if I just delete all the file and upload all the file again.?

That may not delete the .maintenance file in the root directory.

Sometimes files that starts with a “.” are not listed, make sure you are seeing all the files – including the “hidden” ones.
