Hybrid theme Pros and Cons

I’m contemplating switching my theme to Hybrid, but it looks a bit advanced for a newbie like me. And before I spend the $25, which isn’t much for support, I was curious if others have had a pleasant experience with the theme and would recommend it or not. I searched for some reviews, but didn’t really turn anything up that gave me a nudge in either direction.

My goal is to build a site to showcase my designs and soon to add a shopping cart option. At the moment I’m using the Twenty Ten theme: https://circadesigns.com
