Update broke the Mobile version of the site

    Hello

    I cannot find answers to these queries online or in your documentation.

    The recent Ultimate Member have broken our Mobile version of the site.

    • The login page will not work and even rebuilding the page (and the shortcode form) did not work. Everything on mobile does not show.
    • All the content and Login portals disappeared on the Mobile versions
    • It broke the site’s clickable button but only on some pages – others stayed as is.
    • Two pages of content disappeared but were visible in WordPress directly …
    • Some of the pages became mobile visible once I allowed all permission to content. Not all of the pages.
    • I have changed the Breakpoints and that has also not made any difference.

    I also use Elementor and while it could be that, I suspect that this is more an Ultimate Member issue as the Elementor update has not impacted my other non-ultimate member plugin sites..

    I disabled all the plugins and even changed themes – the problem persisted and is not fixed.

    I then rolled back the backup to Jan 5, (cleared server cache etc) and all appears to be okay.

    I have updated the other plugins used, and all is fine – it can only be Elementor and Ultimate Member – as obviously, one or both are conflicting.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Enable PHP error logging, read this guide: “How to enable debug logging”

    You will probably get a PHP log file with notices and errors: /wp-content/debug.log

    Post the content of this file here in the Forum and we can give you the PHP error explanation.

    It’s your Astra Theme is having all these issues.
    Which version of UM in your backup from Jan 5 without these Mobile issues ?

    @missveronicatv All the versions since Jan 5 appear to be good. That is interesting. I presume the advice is to change theme?

    Astra did a big update about a week or so ago – i presume it is all connected to that update (which i have not installed since the rollback)

    Any advice on the best way forward? Would changing themes resolve most of the issues?

    @missveronicatv Am just thinking now – I use Astra on several other sites without issue. Do you think it is a clash between UM and the theme then?

    You have had the Astra issue since 21-Nov-2022.
    Do you have a copy of the Astra release info for their latest update to post here in the Forum.

    However, I see that Elementor also had a major update last week.

    • The latest update includes some substantial changes across different areas of the plugin. We highly recommend you?backup your site before upgrading, and make sure you first update in a staging environment
    • Compatibility alert?– Some of the plugins you’re using have not been tested with the latest version of Elementor (3.10.1). To avoid issues, make sure they are all up to date and compatible before updating Elementor.

    Thanks, wait with updating to Astra 4.0 until they have fixed most of their initial issues with version 4.0.

    @missveronicatv I was too scared to do the update of UM and Elementor. Will do over the weekend so that i can roll it back if needed… Will advise by Monday …
