Hi, thanks for the plugin

I’ve created a member directory and profile page, added a username which I’ve renamed to ‘business name’ to both profile and registration form and made it editable but I’m unable to edit my business name and it seems to pick a default name from the first and second name.

Any advice on this? I feel I’ve tried every setting at this point and am still unable to have a editable business name

Everything seems to be set up as it should according to youtube guides etc…

UM Settings -> General -> Users -> “User Display Name” select Username

Hi @missveronicatv

Thank you, but even with ‘username’ selected users can’t edit their usernames and it picks a default first and second name instead of the actual username set.

Any ideas why I can’t get this to work? I’d like a username that is editable (which it checked already) and to be viewed by other profiles.

No you can’t edit the user_login field.

@missveronicatv I see, thank you so I guess I have to use something else. I just didn’t really want a username to be there just the business name but I guess I can just remove the username field altogether.

Hi @andrewshu Thank you, this has been resolved now. I’ve just run into another issue. My member directory is only showing everyone when admin is logged in and half when other users are logged in :/ I may have to make another topic for this sorry
