    Hi,

We’re using Product Feed Elite on a site with just over 11,000 products and getting Maximum Execution Time of 90 Seconds Exceeded when trying to create the first feed on the site.

Here’s the output from the Plugin Systems Check screen

    WP-Cron enabledTrue

    PHP-version sufficientTrue (8)

    Product feed directory writableFalse

    Product feed XML directory writable

    Product feed CSV directory writable

    Product feed TXT directory writable

    Product feed TSV directory writable

    Product feed LOGS directory writable

I’ve seen in other threads that the directory writable = False is not an issue as the plugin creates the directory when creating the theme. I was going to try creating the directory manually but do not know the expected path.

Prior to this the site was getting out of memory errors during this process so I’ve increased the memory from 512MB to 1024MB. This fixed the first issue but now presents the timeout issue.

I’ve also tried adjusting the products per batch down to various amounts even as low as 1 with no success.

The site is also using WP Rocket and Sucuri but I can’t disable these as it is a live site.

    Thanks

    Andrew

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with processing your feed(s). Did you already try increasing the Maximum Execution Time to, for example, 300 seconds?

    Hi,

I tried it at 180 seconds which seems like a long time but then Sucuri reports a Hosting Server Connect Timeout. From what I can tell Sucuri don’t provide a way to extend this in their system.

    Hi,

Is there any update on this issue?

Is there any debug information or logging I can add to our instance of the plugin (Elite version) to aid in figuring out why it’s timing out?

    Thanks

The only alternative is to lower the batch size so it uses less server resources, you however mentioned you already tried this so the only other option left than is to increase the maximum allowed execution time.

Are there any other errors in your WooCommerce fatal error logs of today/yesterday? This is where you can find those logs: https://woocommerce.com/document/finding-php-error-logs/
