I installed a fresh WP 6.1.1 on localhost and only the Yoast SEO plugin on the default theme.

Going to the settings, this is what it shows for the posts (default):

When going to the post “Hello World” (which is the default post), I did check the source code and it shows “WebPage”.

Because Yoast tells us that the default for post options page type is “Article”, see here: https://yoast.com/help/selecting-content-types-in-schema-settings/

Let’s have an example at Yoast:

    https://yoast.com/yoast-seo-january-10-2023/

It shows “Article” (just like it should).

So what’s happening? Why does it show “WebPage” on a fresh install? While this should be “Article” instead?

    Thanks.

    Hi @worldsdream

We understand that you aren’t seeing the ‘article’ schema on one of the posts on your localhost site.

Could you first please check if you’ve set up the necessary settings under your WP admin dashboard > Yoast SEO (sidebar) > Search Appearance > General tab > Knowledge graph & schema.org section? You can learn more about it here – https://yoast.com/help/implementing-schema-with-yoast-seo/#what-you-need-to-do

After you’ve set it up as an organization or person, along with the respective logo, could you then check if the article schema is then outputting for your posts?

Confirmed that it was empty and after adding the organization/person with it respective logo, it showed up as “article” as schema.

Can you let me know what the size should be of the logo? Maybe 500×500?

    Hey @worldsdream,

Happy to hear it’s sorted. The logo image itself can be anything higher than 112x112px (minimum, see here).

We’ll put the topic as resolved. If you need any further assistance, feel free to create a new topic.
