    Hello Support,

We have successfully integrated gpay test mode. But when button is clicked in the checkout page after entering addresses and all, a window is opened to enter credit card details. is it normal? i thought we will be taken to gpay android app for payment. For gpay we need to enter the credit card details always? cant we connect it to gpay android app for payment? Sorry just curious regarding the working.

Also buy using gpay button is working without any validations for the checkout address fields and all.

Does apple pay checkout supports just an authorization (Touch ID or Face ID)?

Please let me know whether i am missing anything.

    Hi @shyamzin

Also buy using gpay button is working without any validations for the checkout address fields and all.

That’s because wallet based payment methods like GPay can provide the billing and shipping address info automatically so there’s no need to require that the checkout billing and shipping address fields are populated if the customer is going to use their address info stored in GPay.

But when button is clicked in the checkout page after entering addresses and all, a window is opened to enter credit card details. is it normal?

Can you share a screenshot or a website url? The GPay wallet opens a popup on the page where the customer logs in and selects their billing information etc.

Does apple pay checkout supports just an authorization (Touch ID or Face ID)?

    Yes.

    Hello Support,

    Thanks for the feedback.

The thing is we are calculating TAX based on the postcode user enter in the checkout page which is a default feature of woocommerce. in that case, if user is not entering the zipcode and click the buy now with gpay button – then tax price is not included in the total. In that case, the total will be wrong. Tax calculation is a default feature and i think it needs to be checked right? Please advise.

Please find the requested screenshot: https://prnt.sc/L-ncHIUjClfG This is what i am seeing. Is this normal? shouldnt we connect to gpay android app when doing payment? please advise.

Regarding touch/face id, thanks for the confirmation.

Please let me know regarding two points above. Once again thanks for the replies made.

That isn’t an issue. The Stripe plugin uses the address info provided by Apple Pay to dynamically calculate the cart totals, which includes tax. You can test this for yourself by selecting a shipping address in the Apple Pay wallet. Notice how the tax and cart totals are re-calculated when you select a new shipping address, shipping method etc.

Yes, that’s normal. That’s what the web version of GPay looks like. You don’t connect to an android app, it’s all browser based.

    Kind Regards,
