changing the domain name > problems!?

Hi,

I’m using WordPress 3.0.1 on a Windows Server 2008.

I’ve created a WordPress Site with the network function (one main site with several sub-sites, ie mysite/site1, mysite/site2, etc).

I’ve installed it using a local domain name. But I need to apply the public domain name to the whole setup now … I tried it using by adding (define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://mydom.com’); define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://mydom.com’);) but when I tried to access it, I got a database connection error. And it seems like the WordPress installation still refers to the local domain name everywhere?

Also, I didn’t have the options under ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ to change the WordPress address and the Blog address. Is that normal?

So, uh, heeeeelp! How should I do this correctly?
